the tower

Water Castle was built by the engineer Elie Radu. The construction was done in accordance with plans approved by the Municipal Council on 10 June 1910, the city's water supply, feeding is done directly from the Danube.

     Water tower will be completed in 1913, but will be opening until 1914, when it was put into operation the entire water supply system of the city.

Drobeta Fly In 2012

"Every last weekend of June Drobeta Airclub is hosting a Fly In event were we meet together and fly together in beutiful Danube Canyon (see it on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGUkI8RY6z8&feature=related ) . Romanian Airclub our partner is making air show on Saturday 30 of June with our Romanian Aerobatic Team "Hawks of Romania" and with Romanian best parachutists team."
